I put a new collar in (my old one was worn badly where the roll pin goes through the shift selector) and I put another shift selector arm on that Keith sent me that had a better tab.

WebDec 3, 2010 · I messed around for a while with the adjusting nuts and finally achieved a position where the pedal free play was about 1 and 1/8". With this in place, I measured the play between the tip of the clutch release rod and the fork (with the fork already positioned so it was just touching the T.O. bearing to the P.P.). Most of those engines were designed with non adjustable rockers/nuts. You screwed them all the way down, and the valve geometry/pushrod length, etc. should have been close enough for proper adjustment.

Yes, the factory proportioning valve (they call it a metering valve) has a button that must be held in when bleeding the front disc brakes. (Drum brakes don't have the proportioning/meter valve, so this info doesn't apply.)
