Web1 Apr 2009 · I've run multiple Marshalls (including a JCM 800) through a 16 ohm plate into an 8 ohm load. Set the amp to 8 ohms and play away. Ed at THD says that's the proper way to run a mismatched Hot Plate too. Definitely not as healthy as running the correct impedance, but it's not gonna blow anything up.
